The world Contraception day is a global annual campaign centered on the vision that every pregnancy is wanted. The campaign was launched in 2007 with a mission to improve awareness of contraception and to enable women and young people to make informed choices on their sexual and reproductive health.
As part of the activities to commemorate this day, CWHAD’s Executive Director, Mrs Helen Odega, on behalf of the State Chairman, led a delegation of the Rivers State Family Planning Advocacy Working Group (FPAWG) on an advocacy visit to her Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo.
